ReplyDeleteI was wondering if you ever did an "instrumental" compilation?
Yes - Volume 69 is the closest to that, though it is on the mellow side. I plan on others at some point too...thanks for listening!

DeleteGreat, amazing site. I've turned Jimmy Bower (Down, Clearlight, etc) on to so many of these bands that we did not know, but had only heard of. To be honest, probably 70% of the stuff we had heard at least something by the band, but a LOT we had not. Now every time we talk, etc, he's like "found anymore killer old shit?" So thanks, and I do not know how much is left, but keep em comin'.
ReplyDeleteCool, I think I was (or still am) friends with Jimmy on facebook. I may have even spoken to him once or twice. Check out the vol 140, the blog is back!
Delete(To my horror, I just discovered a hundred or so comments awaiting moderation, some for a long time. Erm, I'll need to start keeping on top of that again from now on, so sorry!)
I absolutely LOVE this! Amazing stuff right here! ✌️
ReplyDeleteThanks for the feedback! Check out the new vol 140.

Boa tarde,
ReplyDeleteAntes de mais, obrigado por partilhar.
A minha questão é a seguinte:
o ficheiro 46 e 72 tem problemas?
Cumprimentos

Hello. The [mf] links for 46 and 72 are both working OK for me. They unzip and play fine. Password: tdats
DeleteThanks a lot for all the episodes (I've just downloaded almost everything, and I'm listening to them from the TDATS 1 to the last one, best Christmas present ever :D).
ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of the 70s hard rock, so your website is the best discovery in the last 10 years. I found and bought some of these gems in CD (Lord Baltimore, Tear Gas, Bloodrock, Buffalo, Neil Merryweather) from record stores in London in the last 4 years I was living in London (old Rat Records, Reckless, Flashback, Sister Ray, Cruisin Records, Music Magpie and Discogs, of course). You can imagine how great it was to find this place. It's amazing your selection of songs and bands from different countries and languages (I'm Spaniard, so it's great to find some episodes dedicated to Spanish and Latin American bands).
Thanks a lot again for all your work and for sharing your knowledge through these fantastic compilations.
Great, enjoy the music! Thanks
DeleteBrother Richard, it is fair to say that your effort and dedication to the preservation, and education of an era of music, is second to none.
ReplyDeleteI, and so many others across this fair planet, owe you a debt of gratitude.
And it's not just the fans that have benefited from your tenacity, and attention to detail.
The 1000s of musicians, and bands that made this music we all love and cherish, they too (whether they know it or not) are the benefactors of your service to music.
To ignore the response that fans of your offerings bring to the party, is to be done so at one's own expense.
So even though TDATS may not be the be-all and end-all, it is most definitely an undeniable beacon of light that shines down upon us all.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Glenn Prosser

P.S. Richard Stonerdoom for President !!
Very inspiring words, thanks Glenn!
